Born in Ndola, raised in Wales with an Irish father and Zambian mother, Jim's love of art began at an early age copying anything in sight. His love and passion was echoed when he started playing football at the age of 11 and  went on to play professionally for Manchester City and Northern Ireland. He continued to study at college specializing in portraiture and chiaroscuro which is the effect that dramatic lighting has on a subject. He gained his reputation as an artist through his portrayal of subjects in pastels and more recently his work has seen him move into the Acrylic medium. His commissions to date have included Princess Diana, David Beckham and a host of international sportsmen. Jim’s work has been exhibited in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York but primarily his work can be found adorning the walls of many private residencies.
